How to Change WordPress User Password in phpMyAdmin

If you lost or forgot your WordPress dashboard login and password, there’s nothing to worry about. You may change WordPress User Password in phpMyAdmin and get your dashboard back.

Login to your hosting control panel/cPanel and go to phpMyAdmin in “Databases” section

Expand database tables by clicking on + icon before your database, scroll down and click “wp_users”

In the list of users, Click “Edit” before the user you need to reset the password for.

Note: You can also reset “Admin” user password here

Change password in “user_pass” field

select user_pass “function” as “MD5”

Select “Save” from drop-down list and click “Go”
