How to add Item/Product in ESRP (General Tab)?

Step 1: Go to “Inventory” menu and click on “Item Master Data”

Step 2: Write down “Item No”.  Item number is a unique code of any product that remains unique and non-editable. Once Item is saved, Item number cannot be edited/replaced.

Note: “System Ref No.” is auto generated by software.

Step 3: Write down “Product Description”. Product searching window shows “Item No” and “Item Description”. So try to write down all necessary information in product description that you require when searching the product and printing invoice/Purchase orders.

Note: Product Description can be edited anytime and changes will apply in all places/transactions where the product has been used.

Step 4: In “General” tab, Select if the product is local or imported.

Step 5: Select “Brand” of the Product.

a) Click on the mirror icon opposite to “Brand” and that will show you the list of all pre-defined brands. If you have a huge list of brands, you can search by code or description as in figure.item brand-item master data-esrp

b) If brand is not listed, it means it is not pre-defined. To include the brand in brands list, Click on the “Brand” and that will redirect you to the brand setup window. Write down the next code (if last code is 100, add 101) and name of brand in description. Select if Brand is imported or local and click “Save”.

Step 6: Select “Category” of the Product. Click on the mirror icon opposite to “Category” and that will show you the list of pre-defined categories. You can search by code or description. To add a new category, follow “Step 5 (b)”.

Step 7: Select “Sub-Category” of the Product.

a) Click on the mirror icon opposite to “Sub-Category” and that will show you the list of pre-defined sub-categories. You can search by code or description.

b) If sub-category is not listed, it means it is not pre-defined. To include the subcategory, Click on the “Sub-Category” and that will redirect you to the setup window. Select the “Category” sub-category belongs to, Write down the next code (if last code is 100, add 101) and name of sub-category in description and click “Save”.

Step 8: Select “UOM” of the Product (UOM=Unit of Measurement). Click on the mirror icon opposite to “UOM” and that will show you the list of pre-defined UOMs. You can search by code or description. To add a new UOM, follow “Step 5 (b)”.

Step 9: Write down “Standard Weight” of product and select the specification between “Kg” and “Ltr”.

Step 10: Write down “Packing Size” of the product and scroll down the menu to select.

Step 11: Check all the three boxes of “Active”, “Inventory”, and “Sale Item”.

Note: All fields are editable except “Item No.”
